Amy A Stinson, APRN

Amy Alisha Stinson, DNP, AGACNP-BC, a doctorally prepared, board-certified adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2023, Master of Science in Nursing in 2014 and Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008 from Northwestern State University College of Nursing. Before joining our center in 2024, Ms. Stinson was an acute care nurse practitioner and sub-investigator specializing in gastrointestinal diseases at the Louisiana Research Center. She has also practiced at the Arthritis and Rheumatology Clinic, Louisiana Family Medicine Clinic, Northwest Nephrology, and as an orthopedic specialist. With expertise in research, gastrointestinal care, rheumatology, internal medicine, and orthopedics, Ms. Stinson's experience with older adults and chronic conditions has strengthened her belief in empowering patients through preventive care. Passionate about addressing obesity, heart health, and exercise, her philosophy centers on guiding patients to healthier lives. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and being outdoors.
