Alexis Jo Brown, MD

Dr. Alexis Brown is a board-certified family medicine specialist. She completed the Seneca Lakes Family Medicine Residency in 2016 after an internship with AnMed Health in South Carolina. She earned her medical degree summa cum laude from Ross University School of Medicine and holds B.S. in Biology magna cum laude from Norwich University. Her accolades include Chief Resident, Resident Teacher of the Year, and Rhodes Scholar nominee. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Brown was a family physician for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and previously with Tidelands Health Family Medicine in Myrtle Beach, SC. Her passion for exercise, and nutrition complements her focus on older adults, emphasizing a holistic approach. She believes in empowering patients to take charge of their health. Dr. Brown chose medicine for the privilege of improving people's lives. Her volunteer work with Walhalla Indigent Clinic, Sullivan Center, and Rosa Clark Clinic demonstrates her commitment to underserved populations. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling.
