Dr. Agnes Diane León Barriera, MD, is a compassionate Internal Medicine Physician with a growing specialization in geriatric care. She earned her Doctor in Medicine from Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Hospital Damas in Ponce, followed by a Transitional Year Residency at Centro Médico Episcopal San Lucas. Dr. León Barriera is currently completing a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her academic contributions include research on delirium in older adults, radiation effects during pregnancy, and anemia awareness in Puerto Rico. She has presented at the Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center and is an active member of the American Geriatric Society, American College of Physicians, and American Medical Association. Outside of medicine, Dr. León Barriera enjoys cooking, going to the movies, spending time with family, and traveling.
