Dorothy May Desierto Agdamag, APRN

Dorothy Agdamag, APRN, FNP, joined CenterWell as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Ms. Agdamag earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Charles R. Drew University School of Medicine and Science in Willowbrook, California. An interest in understanding what causes disease and helping people prevent illness or delay its progression led her to work in healthcare. Ms. Agdamag sees health as a shared responsibility between provider and patient, with providers doing their best to administer appropriate treatment and patients doing their part to take care of their health. Beginning as a staff nurse at North Vista Hospital and later at the UNV Student Center Wellness Clinic, Ms. Agdamag has worked in diverse settings. After becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a primary care provider at a charitable clinic and pediatric practice. Before joining CenterWell, she spent four years treating a mostly senior population at Calderon Medical Group, where she educated and helped her patients manage their health. Outside of her work, she enjoys swimming, bowling, and traveling with her family, including her husband, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and their grown daughter.
