Maria J Hoertz, DO, MPH is a board-certified Physician, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Physician and newly hired at CenterWell. She attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor for her two bachelor's degrees in biology and education, Temple University for her master's in public health and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency at Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center and specializes in Family Medicine. A successful academic career gave Dr. Hoertz entrée to the Alpha Chi Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, and she was recognized as Intern of the Year and later, Teacher of the Year. Dr. Hoertz has been working in healthcare for 22 years, during which time her roles have included Medical Director and Physician for Hospice, Assisted Living Facilities, and Skilled Nursing Facilities. She has also been an Outpatient Primary Care Physician and Hospitalist. Since I have worked in all areas of health care, I am able to assist with care at all levels of need, she reports.
