Evan Harbison has been working in healthcare for 13 years, first as a Registered Nurse, and later as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He attended Texas Tech Health Sciences University and has worked in surgery, ICU, oncology and family practice. His varied employment history has given him perspective on the whole spectrum of healthcare, from child well visits to end-of-life care. He also saw many Medicare patients in his last four years as Nurse Practitioner before joining CenterWell. Harbison believes in treating his patients the way he would want to be treated, by working together with transparency and teamwork to achieve good health outcomes and enhanced quality of life. He defines the right provider-patient relationship as collaborative, supportive and welcoming. For Harbison, patient satisfaction is achieved when there’s two-way communication “to make sure we are working toward a patient’s health goals.” Getting to know his patients is Mr. Harbison’s favorite part of being an FNP. He resides in Conroe with his wife and four children, ages 4 to 15, and at CenterWell Conroe, he is enjoying practicing in a value-based system, being close to his kids’ schools and serving his community. When he is not working, Harbison loves live music, exploring new locations, exotic cuisines, nature walks, board games, cooking, grilling, and barbecuing.
