Dorothy recently joined CenterWells North Rainbow location in Las Vegas as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with 10 years of experience in healthcare. Agdamag speaks English and Tagalog (Filipino) and has a Masters in Nursing from Charles R. Drew University School of Medicine and Science in Los Angeles. It was Dorothys interest in understanding what causes disease and helping people prevent illness or delay its progression that made her want to work in health care. She says the best part about her job is when a patient recovers from a disease because it means that she did the right thing!Dorothy Agdamag is a firm believer in appropriate health management that is timely, accessible, and affordable. She sees health as a shared responsibility between provider and patient; with providers doing their best to administer appropriate treatment and patients doing their part to take care of their health.Beginning as a Staff Nurse at North Vista Hospital and later the UNV Student Center Wellness Clinic, Dorothy has experience working in various settings and with different age groups. After becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a Primary Care Provider at a charitable clinic, a pediatric practice, and before joining CenterWell, spent four years treating a mostly senior population at Calderon Medical Group, where she educated and helped her elderly patients manage their health. When she is not treating patients, Dorothy spends most of her spare time doing things with family and friends. She enjoys swimming, bowling and traveling with her family. Her husband, also a healthcare provider, is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and they have a daughter who is 26.
