Dorin T Popa, MD

Dorin T. Popa, MD recently joined our center in Peoria, AZ as a board-certified doctor of Family Medicine. He has been working in healthcare for 11 years, and attended University of California Davis, and completed a Family Medicine residency at the University of Nevada Reno. In addition to English, Dr. Popa speaks Romanian. A multiple-year-recipient of the Patients Choice Award, Americas Most Honored Doctors and the Compassionate Doctor award, Dr. Popa has diagnosed and treated a variety of medical conditions in patients of all ages, including seniors. His previous experience includes seven years at One Life Medical Center/Optima Medical, and four years at Banner Health. At CenterWell, his continuing goal is to provide the best care possible to patients, and work as a team in their care. According to Dr. Popa, patient satisfaction is achievable through regular follow-ups, listening and thoroughly answering all of his patients concerns. Caring for patients and tackling the challenges that come with healthcare changes, are two of things he enjoys most. He is also a strong proponent of being proactive with patient care. Dr. Popa is a man of faith, and it has taught him that the greatest investment in life is that which has the largest impact on other people. Spending quality time with family, reading and engaging in outdoor activities are some of the doctors hobbies during his downtime. He is happily married with two children who brighten his days!
