A new employee at our Pasadena center, Dalila Cordova is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is a 15-year veteran of the healthcare field.Working as a nurse, Dalila had the opportunity to work closely with seniors in the emergency room, nursing homes, and as a nursing supervisor of wound care. These experiences made her realize that she truly enjoyed caring for senior patients, which prompted her to earn a second masters degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch and add Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-C) to her FNP-C credentials.Cordova says she entered the healthcare profession because of her love of caring for the sick and teaching patients about wellness. Before joining CenterWell, she worked at Houston Methodist Hospital and in the private practice of Dr. Hugo Toro. The best part about her profession, according to Cordova, is when patients appreciate her compassion and her efforts to make a difference in their health.At CenterWell, Cordova is pleased to be working with a varied range of professionals that treat patients health holistically. She says that providing compassionate, quality care tailored to a patients needs is her recipe for ensuring patient satisfaction. Ms. Cordova defines the ideal patient-provider relationship as building rapport, knowing that her patients trust her with their health and most intimate concerns.When she is not caring for patients, Dalilas hobbies include swimming, playing with her dogs, and reading memoirs or autobiographies.
