Alyssa Verkuilen, APRN

Mrs. Alyssa Lynn McAlister, DNP, APRN, FNP C, is a Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in primary care, palliative medicine, and hospice services. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Central Florida after completing degrees in Nursing and Public Health. Her background includes caring for medically complex patients across hospital, home based, and hospice settings, where she developed expertise in symptom management, goals of care conversations, and compassionate support during patients' most challenging moments. Mrs. McAlister believes that listening is essential to improving quality of life and strives to build trust through compassion, communication, and evidence based guidance. She has a strong passion for caregiving and is dedicated to serving her community by helping patients prioritize their health and well being. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending meaningful time with her family.
